The first project I did was a pinch-pot out of clay shaped like a star. As I was manipulating the clay it began to lose its elasticity and crumble; so I learned that I cant play with the clay too much. When my greenware was leather hard, I was able to go in and smooth the cracks with a sponge. When making my coil pot, I had to texture the coils and use a bit of water to make them stick together. When the pot became bone dry I was able to put in the kiln to turn it into bisque. After it was done firing I painted the glaze on and fired it in the kiln again.
